Barbara A Vining

Barbara A. Vining, 71 passed away peacefully on July 13th 2015 in her home surround by those she loved. She was a loving daughter of Joseph and Mary Hovancik and daughter-in-law of Donald C. Vining who all predeceased her. Barbara was a dedicated wife to Gary D. Vining for 53 years. She was the loving mother of two free spirited children, Dawn (Larry) DeBusk, David Vining and the ever supportive grandmother of three grandchildren whom she had many adventures with, Sara (Frank) Dirig, Ryan DeBusk and Brianna DeBusk. She is also survived by mother in-law. Earlberta (Dolly) Vining; two brothers whom she cherished, Joseph (Shirley) Hovancik, Jr. and John (Carol) Hovancik; sister in-law, Donita (Norman) Rogers; special nieces and one nephew, godchildren, a very special aunt and many life long friends all of whom she loved and adored. She was a parish member of Saints John and Andrew ,1263 Vestal Ave. Binghamton 13903, Navy wives and Mothers club, lifetime associated member of the James F. McAuliffe chapter of NERA, and a graduate of Johnson City High School class of 1962. The family wishes to thank Lourdes Hospice nurses and staff for their compassionate care and support. Expressions of sympathy can be made in Barbara's memory to Lourdes Hospice, 4102 Old Vestal Rd. Vestal NY 13850 or The Broome County Humane Society. A Funeral Mass will be offered for Barbara at Sts. John & Andrew's Church on Saturday, July 18, at 11:00 AM. The family will receive friends at Sts. John & Andrew's Church from 10:00 AM till the time of service.
