Charles M. Lombardo, of Conklin, NY

    Charles M. Lombardo, 88, of Conklin, passed away on Monday, September 7, 2015. He is survived by his; wife, Ann; daughter, Patricia (Barry) Ilse, Vestal; three sons, Charles (Marti) Lombardo, KY; Gary (Debra) Lombardo, Conklin; and Mark Lombardo, FL; grandchildren: Jennifer, Jeremy, Cassie, Shawn, Zack, Chris, Alana, Brody and Amber; 7 great-grandchildren; his brothers, Angelo, Michael, and Samuel; sisters Caroline, Pauline, and Mary; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Chuck was the oldest of 12 brothers & sisters. He served in the United States Army during WWII, was a member of the American Legion Post 1645 for over 40 years, and was a 3rd Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus. Chuck graduated from Scranton University.
   The family would like to thank the staff of Apple Unit at the NYS Veterans Home at Oxford and the Doctors and Nurses of the ICU at UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital.
The family will receive friends Friday September 11, 2015 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the Savage Funeral Home at 338-344 Conklin Ave. in Binghamton, NY. Committal Services will be held Saturday September 12, 2015 10:00AM at The Parish of Saints John & Andrew Church Binghamton (1263 Vestal Avenue, Binghamton, NY 13903). A luncheon will follow in the basement of the Church. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.SavageFS.com.
