Margaret F Hricigia

Margaret F. Hriciga was born April 18th, 1922 and died at the age of 93, late Sunday evening 11/1/15.  She was the only child of George and Evva Forsyth, and the wife of John Hriciga, all passing long before.  She is survived by Eva Anderson, cousins, and her niece and nephews, Sue, Hal and Tom Hriciga, her sister-in-law Jeanette Hriciga, and dear friends Beverly, Carol and Miriam.  

Margaret was a veteran of World War II and served from 12/2/1943 to 2/23/1946. She was stationed at Fort Dix New Jersey and transported wounded veterans returning from active duty. This past year Margaret returned to New York State where she was born, raised and worked. Margaret retired as an Executive with New York Telephone.  She, and her husband John, resided primarily in Florida after retirement.  Margaret enjoyed golf, travel, music, animals, birds and reading.  She generously donated to charitable organizations supporting children, veterans and animal rescue.  Margaret was a self taught artist, and appreciated art from the simplest picture on a card, to viewing and purchasing professional artwork for her home.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1pm Thursday November 5, 2015 at All Saints’ Episcopal Church, 475 Main Street, Johnson City, NY 13790.  The family will receive friends at the church Thursday from 12:30 pm until the time of service.  Condolences may also be expressed online at www.SavageFS.com.
