of Binghamton, NY

Mary Mecca, 75, of Binghamton, passed away on May 31, 2016.

She is predeceased by her first husband John Rachko. Mary worked for Broome-Tioga BOCES for 17 years. She had a passion for cooking and loved to garden and enjoyed trips to Tioga Downs. She is survived by her loving husband Anthony "Smiley" Mecca of over 40 years, her son Jon “Rache” (Lisa) Rachko of Orchard Park, NY; daughter Tamara (Mark) McQuade of Endicott, NY, and two grandchildren Morgan and Jacob Rachko. Out of love and respect for Mary's wishes, no memorial services will be held. The family would like to thank the 4th Floor Staff at Bridgewater Center for Rehab & Nursing for the kind and compassionate care that was given. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a donation to the charity of one’s choice.
