Myrtle L. (Rich) Gumaer

Myrtle L. Gumaer, 89, formerly of Conklin, NY, passed away on November 29, 2016 at The Gulfside Center for Hospice Care in Zephyrhills, FL.  She was predeceased by her parents William and Beatrice Rich, brothers Roy and Oliver Rich, and sisters Mary Edwards, Clovida Weirykas, and Audrey Fletcher.   She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Wendell A. Gumaer, her children Kathleen (Michael) Tesla and Daniel (Ruth) Gumaer, 2 grandchilden Brent (Charlene) Tesla and Christopher (Jenna) Tesla, 2 great grandchildren Sophie and Emma Joy Tesla; sister Lillian Malinak and several nieces and nephews.  She was a member of Faith Baptist Church of Zephyrhills, FL.  She graduated from Binghamton State Hospital School of Nursing and SUNY Binghamton.  Before retirement, she worked at Binghamton State Hospital, Binghamton General Hospital and United Health Services.  Her field of expertise was the Operating Room.  She was an avid quilter.  Best of all she was a loving wife, mother and sister.

A Memorial Service will be held 11 am Thursday December 1, 2016 at Faith Baptist Church 38634 Co Rd 54, Zephyrhills, FL 33542 .  Burial will take place in Vestal Hills Memorial Park in Vestal, NY at the convenience of the family.
