Terri Lee Voorhis

Terri Lee Voorhis, age 56, of Chenango Forks died at 10:04pm on June 7, 2017 after a yearlong battle with cancer. Terri is survived by her miserable husband, Robert (Bob) Voorhis Jr. and her 6 rotten children, Jessica, Billy Jo, David, Ashley, Rob, and Randi. She leaves behind 12 grandchildren, but more importantly, several thousands of dollars’ worth of shoes and Flintstones apparel. She was a dedicated nurse at Willow Point Nursing home, often sacrificing her free time for the service of others. She was an avid gardener. There wasn’t a weed she couldn’t grow. Terri was known to be very affectionate. In fact, she never met a slot machine she didn’t love. Over time, she generously donated an undisclosed fortune to various casinos along the east coast. Her ability to plan road trips only consisting of right hand turns (because left hand turns are super dangerous), was unparalleled. Of course, Terri had a wild side as well. In her younger years, she loved to go dancing, and has even ended up on a bar top. The world has lost a compassionate, loving, caring, and generous soul. Terri was deeply loved by those who knew her and will be greatly missed. Memorial service will be held at Harpursville United Methodist Church at 12:00pm on Saturday June 17, 2017. The service will be followed by a gathering at Bob and Terri’s house from 2:00 to 6:00pm to celebrate the life of Terri Voorhis.
