Anthony Dattoria Obituary

Anthony (Tony) J Dattoria, 69, of Conklin, New York passed away on April 1st, 2024 surrounded by loved ones. Born to Carmen and Frances Dattoria.  Tony was predeceased by; his parents, Carmen and Frances; his oldest brother, Michael; and his close friend, Kenneth Kreczko. He is survived by; his loving wife of 30 years, Diane; his children, Dan Page (Jennifer), Nicholas Leonard (Jessie), Alice Place (Kyle), and Anthony Dattoria Jr (Sarah); 9 grandchildren, Katelyn, Courtney, Kassie, Franko, Amelia, Charlie, Sophia, Jameson and Carmen; his sister, Gail Dattoria; brothers, Vincent Dattoria (Karen), and James Dattoria; He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews along with close friends.

Tony was always full of life and loved to entertain. He was an avid golfer who managed, not one, but two holes-in-one shots in his life, yet his proudest accomplishment was his big family, both blood and friendship. He spent more than 2 decades helping build and operate KFC's in the area and had a following everywhere he went. It was rare that you didn't catch him with a cigar in his mouth. His generosity knew no bounds, from feeding all the neighborhood kids on a Friday night to buying a meal for anyone who needed it. He never took a situation too seriously and could put a smile on any face he met. In his final years at home, he could be found with his companion “Charlie the Chihuahua” in his lap no matter what he was doing.

A very special thank you goes to Guthrie Hospice and Mercy House of the Southern Tier for their care. The love they shown him in his time under their care made every day a little easier for him.At Tony's request, there will not be any formal services. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in his honor to your local dog shelter as Tony loved every dog he met.  Arrangements entrusted to SAVAGE-DeMarco Funeral Service.
