Dawn Elizabeth Thompson

Dawn Elizabeth Thompson, age 48, passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2017. She was born to the late Stephanie Thompson on November 25, 1968 in Brooklyn, NY. She worked for many years helping the mentally ill as a direct care aide for S.U.S. and the Independent Living Association in Brooklyn, and most recently worked locally with Broome Development Center in Binghamton. Dawn was an avid reader and especially enjoyed spending time with her girls. 
Dawn is preceded in death by; her mother, Stephanie and brother Gerald "Jay" Thompson.
She is survived by; her three loving daughters, Janine, Jennifer, and Jessica; two grandchildren Malayah Springer and Elias Thompson-Montana; her sister, Deirdre Thompson; her niece and nephews Darryl, Gillian, Derrick, and DeVaughn Thompson. She also leaves behind numerous other relatives and long-time friends.
Visitation hours will be held at the Savage DeMarco Funeral Home 1605-1609 Witherill St. Endicott, NY on Monday, November 13, 2017 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm. A short service will immediately follow.
Her daughters wish to extend their gratitude and heartfelt thanks to various friends and family for their support this past year. The family also wants to thank the Lourdes ICU team for the care they provided her preceding her death and Savage DeMarco Funeral Home for their care and handling of the funeral arrangements.
