Allan (Dick) Smith Obituary

Allan Richard Smith (Dick), 89, passed away quietly in his home October 18 surrounded by his loving family.  Dick was predeceased by his parents, H Allan Smith and Emma (Bauer) Smith, mother-in-law, Barbara Spisak, and his son, Lawrence Smith. Dick is survived by; his loving wife of 49 years, Carol R. Smith; daughters, Laurie and Ike Elliott, Wendy and James Coon, Amy and Charles Burpee and daughter-in-law, Sandra Smith; grandchildren, Heather Smith, Allan Smith, Kaitlyn Smith, Dennis and Sabrina Gardner, Drew and Chris Gardner, Terrah and Kyle Holly, Emily and Gary Dickinson, Zachary Burpee and Alex Burpee; great-grandchildren, Tyler Hulbert, Gavin Gardner, Easton Gardner, Levi Dickinson and Lorelei Dickinson. Dick grew up in Monticello, NY and moved to Windsor in 1954 where he lived out the rest of his days. Dick served in the United Stated Army during the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion. Dick retired from NYNEX Telephone Company (Verizon) of Binghamton after 30 years of service as a plant manager. Dick was an active member of the Windsor Village Board for many years and a devoted New York Yankees fan who loved fishing and hunting.
