Carl Frederick William Edmister, 61 years old, of Conklin, NY, has left this physical world on Friday, September 5, 2025. Carl lived on his own terms and no one could say he was conventional. He spent many years in the building trades, with carpentry being his primary skill. He loved his cats and would take them on long walks, telling endless stories about them. His other big hobby was gardening. from indoor plants to a variety of produce plots, he was always growing something, right up until this past year when his mobility was so limited. Carl was predeceased by his mother, Mary Ann (Starck) Edmister, and father, Raymond “Tom” Edmister. He is survived by three siblings: Thomas, Ronald (Denise), and Evelyn Deeley. We hope Carl is back to chatting and laughing with his mom. He missed her immensely over the past 12 years. As someone who “traveled” with the Grateful Dead show for a period in his younger years, he would be very happy to be where he can listen to Jerry “playing in the band.”
Services will be private with SAVAGE-DeMarco Funeral Service, 338-344 Conklin Ave, Binghamton, NY 13903. Condolences may be expressed at www.SavageFS.com. Obituary also found at www.TiersNews.com.
