Dale Howard Hawkins, 65, of Binghamton, passed away on December 26, 2025. Dale was born in February, 1960, in Binghamton, New York, alongside his twin sister, Gail Hawkins, to Lonnie Hawkins Sr. and Izola Hawkins. From the very beginning, family was the foundation of his life. He grew up surrounded by siblings—brothers Lonnie Jr., Elton, Eddie B., and Reggie, and sisters Ola, Norma Jean, and Gail. Many of those he loved dearly—his parents, Lonnie Jr., Ola, Elton, and his twin Gail—went on before him, and we take comfort in knowing he is now reunited with them.
Later in life, Dale met the love of his life, Lorraine Hobby. Together, they built a blended family rooted in commitment and unconditional love. Dale lovingly embraced Lorraine’s children, Tabu and Tashiba, as his own. Together, Dale and Lorraine welcomed their son, Jordan Hawkins, and later their daughter, Camia Hawkins. Their bond was unbreakable—Dale and Lorraine remained together until his passing, a testament to their devotion and partnership.
Dale was a proud father and grandfather, leaving behind a legacy through his 11 grandchildren, each one a reflection of the love, wisdom, and values he poured into his family.
An intelligent man with a thoughtful mind, Dale loved sports and cherished time spent with family. But above all else, his heart belonged to fishing. Fishing wasn’t just a hobby—it was his peace, his therapy, and his joy. Whether standing quietly by the water or sharing stories about the one that got away, fishing was where he found calm and happiness.
Dale passed away the morning after Christmas, a time meant for family, warmth, and reflection—fitting for a man whose life centered around those very things. Though our hearts are heavy, we are grateful for the memories, lessons, laughter, and love he gave so freely.
