David Harmon Johnson, 82, of the Town of Binghamton, NY passed away May 18, 2022 due to complications of covid. He was born January 31,1940 in Binghamton, NY to Harmon Johnson and Gwendolyn Glover. David was raised in Chenango Bridge and went to school in Chenango Forks. He enjoyed working around the Chenango Bridge Airport that his parents operated and enjoyed flying. David was employed by the Broome County Highway Department at the age of 16 and retired after 39 years of service in 1995. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Vestal, NY. David enjoyed flying model airplanes, operating model trains, camping, fishing, hunting, gardening and tinkering in the garage. David is survived by his beloved wife Sharon of 47 years. Children, Amanda (Scott) Nix of Milliken, CO, David (Kim) Johnson of the Town of Binghamton, NY , Tina Krisko of Gordon, GA, Judi (Steve) Cook of Greene, NY. Sister, Sandra (Mel) Wightman of Chenango Forks, NY. Several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, his brother Roger Johnson and his grandson Adam Richardson.
Family will welcome friends at 11am with service to follow at noon, Monday May 30, 2022 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints 305 Murray Hill Rd. Vestal, NY 13850
