David L. Wagstaff, 79, of Conklin NY passed away peacefully at home February 2, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. Dave was born in Dublin, Ireland. He is survived by the love of his life, Karen, wife of 40+ years, and nursing caretaker of decades. Karen kept him alive through the ravages of diabetes long after most thought possible. He was predeceased by his parents, David & Florence (Kavanagh) Wagstaff. Dave loved the 25 years he and Karen spent at Brennan Beach on Lake Ontario, the trip back to his birthplace in Ireland in 2019, and travels to Alaska, Florida, Nashville, Vegas and the Caribbean. He was an avid fan of Notre Dame and Cleveland Browns football, Bruins hockey, Toby Keith music, and enjoyed fishing and hunting with family. He worked for decades at Brace Mueller Huntley (Samuels), and retired from his job in facilities maintenance, and then ‘driving Miss Daisy’ at Hilltop Manor. Family was Dave’s passion, and he leaves behind; his precious children, David Wagstaff, Tina (Larry) Sanders, Eric (Felecia) Wagstaff, and Bridget Reardon; Step-children, Michael (Stacey) Dougherty, and Michelle Dougherty. Dave loved his 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind beloved brothers Paul Wagstaff and Kevin (Kelly) Wagstaff, and sister Katie (Ryan) Hastrich.
