Donald C. Staub

Donald C. Staub, 81, of Conklin passed away June 29, 2024.  Don was predeceased by his brother, Bill "Tunker" Staub.  He is survived by: his loving wife of 58 years, Joyce (Krissel); one son, Scott (Gieselle) Staub; one daughter, Christine (Jack) Patterson; grandchildren, Cassidy Patterson, Owen Staub, Jack Patterson, Ainsley Staub, Aubrey Staub; his siblings, Jerry Staub, Anne Dietrichsen, Robert "Pookie" Staub, Philip Staub, Betty Snow; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Don was a unionized Ironworker for over 30+ years.  During this time, he and Joyce purchased the Rock-B Tavern, which they also operated together for nearly 30 years until their mutual retirement in 2005.  Don enjoyed working on his yard, chatting with his neighbors, spending time with his family, and building connections with his community in both Conklin, and Stuart Florida where he and Joyce enjoyed spending their winters. 

A Memorial service will be held 10am Saturday July 6, 2024 at Savage-DeMarco Funeral Service 338-344 Conklin Ave Binghamton, NY 13903 with Pastor Kerry Krissel officiating.  The family will welcome friends from 9am until the time of service.  Interment will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park.  Express condolences online at www.SavageFS.com.  In Lieu of flowers please make donations in Don’s name to the American Lung Association.
