Dorothy Frances Argetsinger, of Endicott, NY, passed away on May 31, 2020 with her family by her side after a long and brave battle with cancer. She is survived by her children, Alison Kosky West Palm Beach, FL and Christopher Argetsinger (Kelley) of Binghamton, NY; grandsons, Tyler Moore (Watkins Glen, NY), Austin Moore (US Army, Bahrain), Samuel Argetsinger (Binghamton) and Matthew Moriarity (Binghamton). Dorothy worked for IBM in Endicott, NY. After retiring from IBM she earned a Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from Boston College and worked for Family and Children’s Services in Binghamton, NY, as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). After retiring again, she started a private practice where she continued her social work passion until her passing. Dorothy was very active in her community volunteering for the American Red Cross and gave back to her community during times of crisis. She loved to golf and played frequent rounds with her family. She was an avid rug “hooker” and won many awards. Dorothy loved her family, especially her grandchildren and cherished her time with them.
