Edward L. Zaharris

Edward Lewis Zaharris, 69, of Owego, NY passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on December 4, 2023. He was born in Stamford, NY in 1954. He married Peggy (Fladmark) Zaharris in 1983. He was very ingenuitive in providing for his family. He had a great talent at fixing things and finding solutions.

His many hobbies included fishing, hunting, metal detecting, geocaching and he loved a good treasure hunting story. He was a kind, quiet man with a remarkable sense of humor and a gentle spirit. He was greatly loved and will be greatly missed. He was predeceased by his mother Rose, father Edward, and brother Frank Heath. Edward is survived by his wife of 40 years, Peggy, his children Amy Levy (John), Jenny Zaharris, Jason Zaharris, Morgan Hopkins (Eric), Bailey Schuster (Jake) and Lily Zaharris, 11 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, his sister, Terri Kunze (Kevin), multiple brother and sister in laws, and multiple nieces and nephews.
