Butch (Howard) Wicks, Jr.
10/6/1942 – 3/10/2025
Butch began his life on Long Island, having been born in Hicksville, NY. He moved upstate and lived in the Afton area for most of his life, except for a few years the he and the family wandered while he was working construction (Texas, Maryland and Utah). He is survived by his wife Marilyn Wicks, his biological children Anna, Sandy, Kat and Joan and their families. He is also survived by Marilyn’s children that he considered his own. Nancy, Kathy and Mike as well as their families. He is also survived by his siblings Helen, Joan and Harold and their families.
Anyone who knew Butch knew how much he loved fishing, his gardens and racing; both dirt track and NASCAR. He also loved Football, yelling at the players on the TV was a usual sight on Sundays. He enjoyed family time with his extremely large, extended family and spending time with his grandchildren. He lived a long and wonderful life enjoying all that he had and did and will be truly missed.
He is with his family in heaven who welcomed him home; his parents Katherine (Zatorski) Wicks and Howard Wicks, Sr. his brothers and sisters Irene, Bill, Frank, Kathy, Henry and Bernie as well as his in-laws. For those left behind he will remain in our thoughts and forever in our hearts. In lieu of flowers, please consider honoring His memory by making a donation to the Coventry NY Emergency Squad
