James P. Russell, 75, of Binghamton, passed away unexpectedly at home June 26, 2022. He is survived by his loving family; wife of 46 years, Susan; daughter, Melissa (Dan) McGuire; son, Jesse & partner, Mary Tuttle; sisters, Anne Riley, Tessa (Joseph) Senigla, Maureen Gorgol, Rosemary (Thomas) Holic; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; dear friends, Ken and Jeff; and his loyal canine companion, Gus. James served in the US Army, achieving the rank of Specialist Four in the 32nd Signal Battalion during the Vietnam War. After graduating college, he worked for Doron Precision Systems, retiring in 2011. He loved to spend his free time fishing, working on antique cars, and shoveling the driveway until not a single solitary snowflake remained. It didn’t matter if you knew him as Dad, Jimmy, or Russell, if you needed a hand, you could bet he would be there. Condolences may be expressed online at www.SavageFS.com. Arrangements entrusted to Savage-DeMarco Funeral Service.
