Sgt. James W. Segrue Sr., 39, of Virginia formerly of Binghamton died in an accident Thursday May 12, 2022. He is survived by; his son, James Segrue Jr. (and his mother Kim Schloss); mother, Mary Juttner; his father, James (Denise)Segrue; his sisters, Ali Juttner, Brittany Segrue (and her daughter Vivian White); many aunts, uncles, cousins that make up the Docalavich family, Ferri family, Hiras family, Savage family, Segrue family, and the Smith family; and his best buddy of 25 years, Tim Scott. Sergeant First Class Segrue served in the US Army honorably with 2 combat tours in Iraq and 1 in Afghanistan, receiving the Purple Heart, the Bronze Star, and many other medals and meritorious awards before retiring from service after 20 years.
Funeral service will be held at 11 am Wednesday May 25, 2022 at First United Methodist Church of Chenango Bridge 740 River Road Binghamton, NY 13901 with Pastor Robert Clark officiating. Full Military honors will be presented following the service at the church. The family will welcome friends at the church Wednesday May 25 th from 9am until the time of service. Burial will be private in the family plot, friends are asked to gather in celebration of James at Am. Legion Post 1645 177 Robinson St. Binghamton, NY 13904.
