(Jack) to his Parents
John was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was predeceased by his parents John George Walsh Sr , Clara Eckerd Walsh and his Loving Wife Donna Mae Walsh. He is Survived by his Children Aileen Andreas, Bobbie Worden, Shannon Degnan, John Michael Walsh and Jennifer Walsh, Several Grandchildren;Scott Andreas, Taylor Worden, Kylie Mainusch, Madison Worden, JJ Walsh, Cora Walsh; Great Grandchild, Noah Andreas.
He grew up in the Catholic Church, was an Altar boy for many years, attended Catholic school and Graduated from St George Catholic High School. He famously met his wife Donna at Walgreens on South Salina St in Syracuse. They married in Syracuse, NY August 3, 1963. He Graduated from Penn Technical Institute and became Chief Engineer at WOLF Radio Station in Syracuse NY in 1963. He took a position at IBM Owego as an Engineer and advanced to Advisory Engineer. During his 25 years with IBM he had the opportunity to work on various projects including collaboration with; NASA, Warner Robbins Air Force Base, The Stealth Bomber, Wild Weasel, to name a few. He was an Adjunct Professor at SUNY Binghamton. He then went on to work for Lockheed Martin before retiring in 2002. He had great passion for his work.
He adored his wife Donna, his Children, Grandchild, Grandchildren and extended family. He was very artistic and enjoyed drawing, painting and singing. He had a wonderful sense of humor, uniquely his own. He of course enjoyed the water, ocean, beach, boating, fishing, seafood( he even loved Swedish Fish) and sharing it with his family. His dream was always to get a shack on the beach, as he called it. We won’t say goodbye, we will say what you would always say “see you later alligator, in a while crocodile”
Graveside Committal services will be held 10 am Wednesday July 22, 2020 at Riverhurst Cemetery in Endwell. Condolences may be expressed online at www.SavageFS.com. Arrangements were entrusted to SAVAGE-DeMarco Funeral Service.
