Mary Rose Torrico, 98, of Binghamton, NY, passed away on October 2, 2021 in Franklin, TN.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents Faust and Concetta Graziani and her sister Clementina Bassano. She is survived by her husband, Corrado Torrico, son Mario Torrico (Leslie) of Franklin, TN, grandson Matthew Torrico (Rachel) of Hermitage, TN, sister Gloria Salamida and beloved nieces and nephews.
Mary was born on April 29,1923 in Johnson City, NY. After she graduated from Johnson City High School she worked in quality assurance at GAF Corporation for more than 40 years. She was an accomplished singer who could be heard on the local Binghamton radio station as well as New York City radio in the 1940’s. She continued to delight family and friends singing in the church choir, weddings and other events. Mary wrote in her diary every day for over 80 years, enjoyed writing poetry and making ceramics. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved homemaking and taking care of her family.
Services for the family will be private with Fr. John K. Werner from St. Paul’s Church in Binghamton officiating. Please express condolences to the family at www.SavageFS.com.
