Mike was a jazz drummer and then served in the U.S. Army; he was stationed in Germany in the 1960's. Michael then went to work for the Bell telephone company; he worked for the phone company for over 40 years as it changed from Bell to New York Bell, to AT&T, to NYNEX, and finally to Verizon. Mike was a voracious reader and taught himself to repair cars, carve figures from wood, and plan beautiful flower gardens. He was passionate about music, democracy, golf, gardening, woodworking, model trains, and was always happy to share some conversation over a glass of Bully Hill wine. Known for his quirky sense of humor, he will be deeply missed by his family.
