Shane Whiting Obituary

Shane Andrew Whiting, 46, of Endicott passed away on September 27, 2025, in Johnson City, New York. Born on September 3, 1979, in Binghamton, New York, Shane lived a life marked by quiet strength and steadfast devotion to those he held dear.  He is survived by; his cherished son, Tyler Whiting; his loving mother, Marie Whiting; his brothers, Rob (Marley) Whiting, and Dave Whiting; his sister, Sharon Whiting; Shane also leaves behind many special nieces and nephews, Christian, Kody, and Elana Miller, Cooper, Caitlin, and Mary Whiting, and Brody and Reagan Whiting, and great-nephew Akira Miller-Anaya, who will remember him with affection and gratitude for the role he played in their lives.

A proud United States Marine, Shane served his country with honor from 1999 to 2003 while stationed in Japan. His time in the military reflected his deep sense of duty and resilience, qualities that remained with him throughout his life.  Shane was someone whose silence carried depth, but whose love burned bright and unwavering. He had a presence that spoke volumes without words and a heart that offered comfort and loyalty to those fortunate enough to know him.
