Sylvia Veronica Capozzi Murcko, 85, passed away quietly in Binghamton, NY December 6, 2021. She was born and raised in Binghamton, NY and remained a resident of the southerner tier all of her life. Sylvia was predeceased by her parents Josephine and Michael Archangel Capozzi, her brother Anthony Capozzi, sisters Louise Capozzi and Joann Pucek. Sylvia is survived by; her loving son Mark Murcko and daughter Karen M Kane and son-in law Christopher J Kane. She graduated from Binghamton North High School in 1955, and married Andrew P Murcko in 1958, they settled in Endwell, NY. Sylvia was an immaculate housekeeper an excellent cook and very loving mother. She was a very good organist, and liked making jewelry and bowling, and she immensely loved music and movies. Sylvia was of 100 percent Italian a descent of her grandparent’s migration from Italy during the late 19th century. Sylvia also had an affinity for animals, namely dogs. Sylvia worked very hard through her carrier as a Librarian, Legal Stenographer and as an IBM’er, and also in the hospitality industry she retired in 2001. Sylvia will be greatly missed by her two children and will no longer have to suffer the trials and tribulations of this world. Karen and Mark did a great deal to ease the agony and pain that she suffered the last few years of her life and are assured that she is no longer suffering. Mom, we love you very much and believe that we will be united once again with you in the spiritual realms.
