Warren Musselman Obituary

Warren E. Musselman, 76, of Apalachin, New York, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2026. Born on December 15, 1949, in Gilroy, California, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, veteran, and servant to his community. Warren lived a life defined by faith, duty, and compassion.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Christine (Cooper) Musselman; his children, Jessica Verfuss (Erik), Barbara Pinto (Kiah), and Gregory Musselman; his sister, Dee-Ann Siebum (Jerry); his grandchildren, Peter, Allyson, Hannah, and Kiah Jr.; He was predeceased by his parents, Maxine (Tibbits) Musselman and Eugene Musselman, and by his brothers, Bob and Kent Tyler, and Bruce Musselman.

Warren graduated from the United States Naval Academy, Class of 1972, and later earned three master’s degrees. He served over 30 years in the U.S. Navy and Naval Reserves before retiring in 2002.  Notable duty stations include USS Gurke, the Naval War College and service as assistant to the Supreme Allied Commander for NATO.

Beyond his military accomplishments, Warren lived a life of meaningful involvement and generous service.  He proudly served as a deacon at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Binghamton and participated in multiple mission trips to Haiti. He was a longtime member of Toastmasters International, a youth and collegiate soccer referee, and a volunteer with Literacy Advocacy.

Warren will be remembered for his unwavering devotion to family, distinguished military service, strong Christian faith, and generous spirit. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched through leadership, kindness, and service. He truly had a life well lived!

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, May 13, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 360 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton, with a funeral service immediately following with full military honors. Private burial will be held at Saratoga National Cemetery.
