Wilson H. "Whiggy" Luce, 11/27/44 -3/19/21
Wilson left peacefully during the night after a tough battle with Non Hodgkins Lymphoma to be reunite with his first born son William H. Luce who passed away 3 short months ago. His son in law Scott Ostrom and daughter in law Lisa Spry. Predeceased by both his parents Kenneth and Elda Luce as well as his brother Lester Luce. Survived by his loving wife of 55 years Carol (Gamble) Luce, a son Christopher Luce, and daughter Robin Valentine. His cherished grand children William D. (Jessica) Luce, Jeffery (Lauren) Valentine, Joshua (Ashley) Luce, Amber Valentine, Kami Joy (Travis) Luce, Ashley Luce, Tiffany (Jeremy) Silvernail, Zachary and Jon Luce. Their children who made him the proudest "Papa" Cheyenne, Spencer, Rowan, Amelia, Remington, Lillian, Finley, Ferryn. His sisters Bea Benchley, Wilma (Doug) Dean, Glenda (Paul) Washburn, Ruth (Dean) Coy. One sister in law Jackie Kovach. Many nieces and nephews.
Wilson worked as a pipefitter/plumber with GAF and Anitec, also a Union member of the local 112. His family was the most important thing to him he was very active in their lives.
He was a coach for many years in youth bowling at Sunset Lanes and later helped with the Windsor High School bowling program. As a family man that "adopted" many of his children and grandchildren friends, he was always there to help anyone who needed it to give advice, put a roof over their heads, food in their bellys or homes, fix a problem, give a dollar, loan a car or give a ride, whatever he simply did it. Was a true outdoors men. Fishing, hunting, strolling through the woods, berry picking to make the best homemade jam, planting and growing amazing gardens of flowers and vegetables. He loved to cruise the junk yard with his best friend Larry to fix those "blasted cars", loved his cookies n treats lately the sugar cookies Brittany Ostrom made for him. "Do your best, you will never fail"
The family would like to thank Broome Oncology for their amazing care. There will be no service at this time. Will have a celebration of life at a later time
