Frederick Howard Johnson

Frederick Howard Johnson, 72, passed away at his home in Conklin, NY 

on May 13th, 2018 after a short battle with lung cancer. He is survived by; his wife, Shelly; son, Frederick JG and Joanne Johnson; step-son and daughter-in-law Jason Bernthon and Nicole Weibel; six grandchildren, Coty, Jacob, and Chance Johnson, Amya Gaffy, Kylie Weibel, and Dominick Bernthon; his father, Frederick Noah Johnson; brother, Stu Johnson; sisters, Laura Wylie and Linda Richardson; several nieces and nephews. He is remembered by family and friends as a cheerful, loving man. He was known and loved by many for his many years of service as a U.S. postal carrier from where he retired. He was a disabled combat Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and was a member of the Kirkwood Elks Lodge. 

The family will welcome friends Friday May 18, 2018 from 5 to 7pm at the Savage Family Center 338-344 Conklin Ave Binghamton.  Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.SavageFS.com. Burial will be private with full military honors at a National Cemetery. Donations may be made in Freddy’s memory to the VFW Post 478 526 Court St. Binghamton, NY 13904.
