Charles W. MacKenzie, 64, of Binghamton, passed away on April 27, 2016 after a brief illness. He is survived by; his wife, Nancy; mother Barbara Stanley; son Jeffrey; daughter, Julie; one sister, Marcia (Hugh) Reed, as well as several nieces, great-nieces; great-nephews; aunts, uncles and cousins. He came to the Binghamton area from New Hampshire as a child and graduated from C.V. High School and B.C.C.  He served in the Army Reserves in the late 70’s and was honorably discharged. He then worked as a Systems Analyst at UHS for over 30 years before becoming ill.  He loved sports, especially softball and bowling making many good friends during those times. He also was a big hockey fan and enjoyed attending games with his son. He will be deeply missed by all.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 30 from 12 – 1 pm with a memorial service following at 1pm at the Savage Family Center at 338-344 Conklin Ave Binghamton, NY 13903.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the American Heart Assn. or the Nat’l Kidney Foundation.
