We just learned of Don's passing this morning. Both Don & Mildred and the "kids" were a big part of our family. I used to love to hear the stories of my Mom's growing up years in New Milford from my Grandmother, "Aunt Alice". Don's family home and his Mom & Dad, Nana & Boppy, were some of my fondest memories of my childhood.
I am guessing Don is in heaven now reminiscing with his loved ones & maybe making some mischief once again:) Love & condolences to Mildred and family.

I grew up with this kind man & his parents. My mother considered him to be a brother. He was there for me so many times but especially when my Mom died. I will never forget him. My prayers are with you all.

Dear Tingley family, We have the privilege of friendship with Donna, Tom and family. Lake George was a special place for your family and we love hearing all the stories about your family vacations on the Lake. May your memories comfort you at this difficult time. Love Rich and DeAnn Elvin

Donald Tingley's grandson, Jeffrey.....has told me several stories about his Grandpa on various occasions. Although I didn't have the honor and privilege of ever meeting him, I feel blessed for getting to know him.....through Jeff's lovingly portrayal of one whom he has held so close to his heart.......his dear Grandpa. Mr. Tingley.....I salute you sir. I shall look forward to getting together....some day......and when that day comes......we'll have a few laughs about the good ole' days. May God bless you, and my thoughts and prayer will be with your family.

Dear Colehour Family & Mom Tingley,

I feel blessed to have known "Dad" & to have had time with him.... he was fun to be around especially when "he was up to something".... his laugh, smile, & the look in his eyes when he was "on the move" is one of the special things that always made me laugh - it was an honor to have known him!

May memories bring you all some comfort in the difficult days ahead. Our prayers of love & sypathy are with you now & always.

With deepest sympathy on the loss of your husband, father and grandfather. We have such wonderful memories of Grandpa Tingley, as he was fondly known on Fairway Lane. I can still picture him sitting in the rocker on the porch making fun of John putting up the Christmas lights. It was an honor to have known him.
