Hi Mom, Happy Birthday. Its a hot and sunny/hazy summer day. The kind of July you always loved. The birds and butterflies are having a field day, flowers are in bloom and there are raspberries to be picked. All is good except for the darn deer who have found and feasted on my phlox. Can you help keep them at bay? Missing you, especially today.

Hi Mom, The flowers are in bloom, the ocean playful and the sunset continues to paint the sky like cotton candy. I think of you when I enjoy all this and more often when a cardinal or monarch butterfly pays me a quiet visit. I so wish you were here. Sometimes the world seems to be crumbling from all angles. Please pay me a visit soon. : )

Hi Mom! We had a nice birthday celebration for Dad this week. All the kids were here except one. Spring breaks don't always overlap. We're getting ready to celebrate St Patrick's Day and I've been thinking of you as we bounce from days of snow, sunshine, cold and sporadic winds. I accomplished something this week that only you thought I would! Thanks for having my back and always encouraging me to push forward!

Dear Eileen, Today is August 17th anniversary of our 1963 wedding day. If I had control we would be completing 54 happy years of togetherness but it was not to be. Dear Eileen, Ray and Julia graduated high school. Ray at BU Event Center, Julia at Broome Memorial Center - both very nice ceremonies. Each attended their school prom having a good time spanning a long evening and following morning. Graduation parties followed attended by family and friends - all went well, both happy events. Julia had a special ceremony for her UE/BOCES New Vision Program. I terribly missed not having you on my arm and at my side while I attended these happy events. Sending my love, John

We are all so sorry to hear about Eileen's passing. We reminisced this week, remembering her warmth and engaging conversation. The photo is beautiful and that is how I will remember her. In spite of all her health issues, Eileen always had a great smile and never complained. She learned in record time how to play Mah Jongg and won her share of games against all the experienced players in the group. I will miss her.
