The death of Mrs. Ethelwyn Crandall is the most devastating experiences your family can face. At times, the loss may seem unbearable. Please know that there are those who care and more importantly Psalm 34:18 tells us that "God is near to those that are broken at heart. Jehovah is the God of all comfort. My prayers are with you and your family.

I would like to express my words of sorry for your family. I know that Effie is in a state of peace, and according to her beliefs she is awaiting a glorious day of Resurrection. I don't know if your family will know who I am by my name, but my maiden name was Brigham. During my school years, I was befriended my Effie, Lesa and Barry, and the family. I had the privilege to spend much time in her Christian home. Part of that time was when my parents were going through a divorce when I was a junior and was awaiting for my mother to relocate back to the Binghamton area. Effie was very soft spoken and had a kind demeanor. She was a just disciplinarian. She was a strong influence in my life. Please I would like to hear from the family if they would like to drop me a line. Peace to all of you in your loss, knowing that Effie knew what the future holds for her after this life.

Thank you so much for your kind words Michele. I certainly remember you and your family well. We pass by your old family home off Front street every now and then and it always makes me wonder how you all are. Mom would have been pleased to know you think of her kindly.

Roger and I were sad to learn of Effie's passing. Our condolences to her family. Her soft spoken words were always comforting. She had a gentle soul and she loved those around her deeply. She will be missed by so many.
