Joe I know your in a better place with the Lord. I have been trying to call / text Joe on and off for several months now. I just found this obituary and it explains why I havent heard back from him. Joe and I served in Navy together aboard USS Simon Lake AS-33.
We found each other via internet, and re-established our long time friendship. We would talk to each other in between our job assignments for the last several years.
I am with heavy heart for my friend and his family.

I was searching old Navy friends and came across this sad news of Joe who I served with aboard the USS Simon Lake at Kingsbay GA. We had some real hard times in the hole us snipes being on 3 section duty forever being in M division. We all had nick names Joes was COKE CAN. I visited Joe in Deland Florida back in 1988 Joe loved to talk like the old mafia gangsters would make us all laugh. God bless may we meet again someday
